When You Don’t Understand

There will be moments in your life when you do not understand what God is doing.

You may wonder why He allowed something.
Why He hasn’t answered your prayer.
Why the path ahead looks nothing like the one you expected.

In Romans 11:34 Paul writes, “Who has known the mind of the Lord?” (NIV)

Paul is reminding us that God’s thoughts are higher,
His wisdom is deeper,
and His perspective is greater than ours.

We see one small piece of the story.
God sees the whole thing from beginning to end.

Faith does not mean pretending you understand.
Faith means trusting God when you don’t.

You don’t have to understand everything God is doing to trust Him.
You don’t have to know everything to surrender the outcome to Him.
You don’t have to see it all work out to believe in Him.

He is good.
He is God.
He is faithful.

Surrender isn’t easier but it is better than living in the alternative:
incessant stress and worry.

What do you need to surrender and trust God with today?

Father, I don’t understand everything You are doing, but I trust Your heart. You have been faithful to me in every step. Help me rest in Your wisdom and today. In Jesus Powerful Name, Amen.
