The more deeply you understand how completely you are loved by God,
the more securely you live in it.
Paul didn’t pray that the Ephesians would have easier lives.
He prayed that they would have stronger hearts.
Ephesians 3:16–17 says, “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love…” (NIV)
A tree with deep roots can withstand strong winds.
In the same way, when your heart is rooted and established in the amazing love of Jesus, the storms of life may shake you but they will not uproot you.
Being deeply rooted in the love of Jesus doesn’t change what is happening around you, but it impacts what is happening within you.
The Holy Spirit strengthens your inner being so that you can remain steady when life feels uncertain, continue trusting when answers don’t come quickly,
and keep moving forward when you feel weary.
Notice where that strength is rooted:
Love.
Not fear.
Not pressure.
Not performance.
Not the need to prove yourself.
I want to remind you that today you are not holding onto God’s love,
God’s love is holding onto you.
Stay rooted there.
Father, strengthen me through Your Spirit in my inner being. Root my heart deeply in Your love so that I can remain steady, secure, and faithful no matter what comes my way. In Jesus Powerful Name, Amen.

Cindy, I just wanted to thank you for being a daily blessing and inspiration in my life! What you write hits my heart and soul in a profound way and is usually just what I needed to hear that day (God’s amazing gift to us!)
