The disciples walked with Jesus for three years.
Saw Him perform miracles.
Watched Him heal those who were sick.
Witnessed Him bring the love of God to the hurting and broken.
And as they walked with Jesus, they became painfully aware that they needed more faith.
Luke 17:5, tells us, “The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’” (NIV)
That’s encouraging.
They recognized what they needed and asked the only one who could give it.
Asking God for more faith isn’t a sign that you’re failing.
It’s evidence that you’re trusting.
It’s showing that you have enough faith to take the first step,
and that you need more faith for the next.
Don’t be discouraged if your faith feels small today.
Bring it to Jesus.
Ask Him to give you more.
He specializes in growing what we place in His hands.
Jesus, I see what You’re asking me to do but my faith is small to do it. Increase my faith. Help me trust You more today than I did yesterday and follow You wherever You lead me. I trust You to do what only You can as I step out in faith. In Your Powerful Name, Amen.
