If God Already Knows

If God already knows everything, why should we pray?

Jesus said in Matthew 6:8, “Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” (NIV)

Prayer is where we unload our worries,
 share what’s on our hearts,
 and remember that we don’t have to carry life alone.

We don’t pray to inform God.
We pray because time in His presence transforms us.

It reminds us that we are not alone.
It reminds us that we are dependent on Him.

And often, prayer changes our perspective long before it changes our circumstances.

God already knows what you need.
He already knows how He will meet it.
And He delights in hearing your voice.

When was the last time you simply sat with your Father and talked with Him?

Father, thank You that You already know my needs before I even speak them. Help me trust You enough to bring everything to You. In Jesus powerful Name, Amen.
