The world often defines freedom as, “I get to do what I want.”
But Jesus shows us a different kind of freedom.
Freedom to love.
Freedom to forgive.
Freedom to encourage.
Freedom to serve others without expecting anything in return.
Real freedom doesn’t make us selfish, it makes us more like Jesus.
Galatians 5:13 says, “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” (NIV)
When we’re secure in God’s love, we no longer have to make life all about ourselves.
We are free to put others first because Christ has already met our deepest need.
The greatest demonstration of freedom was Jesus Himself.
No one was ever more free than He was, and no one ever loved or served more completely.
You are free from sin’s rule.
You are free from condemnation.
You are free to live as God’s beloved child.
Don’t waste a second more, freely receive God’s love
and freely love those you encounter today.
