So many people spend their lives focusing on what they wish they could change about themselves.
We compare, criticize, and minimize who we are.
Yet David pauses in Psalms 139:14 and responds differently – he worships.
He writes, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (NIV)
David paused.
Chose to look around.
Chose to look up.
Chose to worship in awe of all God has made.
He recognized that God’s creation carries wonder.
That includes you.
To be “fearfully made” means you were created
with awe, care, and sacred intention.
To be “wonderfully made” means God’s workmanship
in your life is extraordinary.
Even if you feel imperfect.
Even if you feel insecure.
Even if your story has scars.
Friend, God does not look at you with disappointment.
He looks at you as His beloved creation.
The more we understand who made us,
the more freedom we have to stop striving to become someone else.
You do not need to earn wonder,
you were created in it.
