The Way to Real Life

Jesus doesn’t hide what it means to follow Him.
He doesn’t promise ease or comfort.

In Luke 9:23, Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” (NIV)

He says “Deny yourself…”
Not because you don’t matter,
but because you’re learning to trust Him more than yourself.

“Take up your cross daily…”
Not as punishment but as surrender.
This is a daily invitation to lay down control,
to release what you were never meant to carry,
and to walk in step with Him.

“Follow me…”
This is the heart of it all.
Living with Him and trusting Him
with your whole life.

Jesus gently tells us that when we let go of our life,
we actually find it.
That when we surrender our wants and way for His,
we will thrive and not just survive.

Because when we are focused on trying to hold it all together,
trying to control outcomes,
trying to protect our lives,
we can lose sight of trusting God with it.

Friend, surrender isn’t the loss of your life,
it’s the beginning of the life you were created for.

So today, take one small step.
Lay one thing down.
Trust Him with it.
And follow Him in faith.

The life you’re longing for is found
on the other side of surrender.
Live Loved.
