A Quiet Place

We often think we need the perfect words to come to God.
The right prayer.
The right posture.
The right moment.

But Jesus says something beautifully simple: just be there.
He tells us how to allow the presence of the Father to heal our soul.

In Matthew 6:6, He said, “Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.” (MSG)

God is not waiting for your performance.
He’s inviting your presence.

In the quiet, you don’t have to impress Him.
You don’t have to clean yourself up first.
You don’t have to pretend you’re okay.
You can come honestly.
Tired.
Overwhelmed.
Unsure.

And in that space, the focus begins to shift
from your problems to His presence.
From your worries to His glory.
From trying to be good enough to simply being real, whatever that is.

Friend, the most powerful thing you can do today
is find a quiet secluded place and get real with God.

That is prayer.
That is communion.
That is the soul cleaning,
soul healing work you are hungry for.

Maybe today your time with God isn’t about saying more.
Maybe it’s about slowing down enough to simply be with Him.
Surrounded by His love and embraced in His healing grace.
