Be Still

The world tells us to keep going.
Keep producing.
Keep striving.

But God invites us to do something completely different.

Psalms 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God” (NIV)

To be still doesn’t mean doing nothing, it means letting go.

Letting go of control.
Letting go of the pressure to hold everything together.
Letting go of the need to prove yourself.

Because of Jesus, you have nothing to prove,
nothing to lose and nothing to fear.

He paid for your sins on the cross, you are forgiven.
He defeated death so you can live free from condemnation.
He rules and reigns in heaven so you can rest secure in the Father’s love.

Slow down.
Take time captive.
Be still.

In the stillness, something sacred happens.
You begin to remember who God is and who you are because of Him.

You are not what you produce.
You are not what you achieve.
You are His.

Friend, God is not asking you to try harder today.
He’s inviting you to slow down and come close.

To be still and know that He is God.
And you are loved.

  1. This is a great follow-up/reminder to this weekend’s message which was so good. I need to let go- just breathe- let God.
