Suffering can feel deeply isolating,
but you are not the first to walk this road.
Jesus Himself suffered—unjustly.
And He left us an example of how to endure.
He suffered out of love, carrying our sin so we could be free from its power.
1 Peter 2:21 reminds us: “To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.” (NIV)
So what did His example look like?
He entrusted Himself to the Father who judges justly.
He chose grace over retaliation.
He drew near to God and trusted Him in the middle of the pain.
All for love, His love for you and for me.
Friend, when life is painful, you are not walking an unmarked path, know you are stepping into the very footsteps of Christ.
And as you follow Him, you’ll begin to discover that it is His strength carrying you.
His love comforting you.
His voice reminding you not to give in or give up.
Suffering doesn’t mean God is distant.
It is often the very place where His presence becomes most real.
