A New Way to Think

So much of our daily life is shaped by what we think about.
And where your mind goes…your life follows.

A mind governed by fear leads to anxiety.
A mind governed by comparison leads to insecurity.
A mind governed by control leads to exhaustion.

In Romans 8:6, Paul offers us a different way when he writes,“The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (NIV)

A mind led by the Spirit.
A mind fueled by the love God Himself.
A mind governed, directed, and checked by the Spirit of God living within you.

This doesn’t mean perfection, it means direction.

It means choosing, moment by moment, trusting the Spirit of God to help you turn your thoughts toward truth, toward God’s presence and toward what is life-giving instead of life-draining.

And what’s the result?
Life and peace.

Not someday when you figure it out.

Today.
Right here, right now.

What has been shaping your thoughts lately?
