When we wrestle with impatience, doubt, temptation, or old habits, it can make us wonder if something is wrong with our faith. But the struggle to grow doesn’t disqualify you, it reveals your need for God’s amazing grace.
Grace was never meant for people who have it all together.
Grace is for people who know they don’t.
Every time you become aware of your need, you are invited back into the arms of grace.
And He never turns you away. Jesus comes close and meets you right where you are.
In the midst of struggling the Apostle Paul pleaded with God to take the affliction away and he shares the Lord’s response in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (NIV)
Friend, your struggle doesn’t mean you are failing, it means you are learning to depend on Jesus in the hardest of times. Hebrews 4:16 encourages us to, “approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
The Christian life isn’t about pretending we’re strong.
It’s about learning to rely on the One who is.
