The Gift That Changes Everything

Eternal life is not something we earn, it’s a relationship we receive. It’s not something we negotiate with God. It’s not something we achieve through our own goodness. It’s a gift only given through Jesus. A gift He bought on the cross and sealed with His resurrection. He is the only one who can give it for no one has defeated death but Him.

That means the foundation of our relationship with God is not our performance—it’s God’s unmatched, amazing, unearned grace.

Romans 6:23 is one of the clearest summaries of the gospel in the entire Bible, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (NIV)

A relationship with sin pays wages of destruction and always leads somewhere we don’t want to be. But God does something completely different, instead of “paying us wages,” He gives a gift. And this gift, this reconciliation, this redemption, this relationship changes everything.

With Him, you no longer live out of fear or out of pressure but out of His abundant love.
God’s love doesn’t pay you for your goodness—He gives you eternal life.
Starting where you are today.

You, my friend, are the recipient of the greatest gift ever given.

How will you live in it today?
