Have you ever noticed how often we think God is late?
Late to fix it.
Late to answer it.
Late to show up.
We look at our lives and think, If He really loved me, wouldn’t He have stepped in sooner? But Romans 5:6 quietly reminds us of something powerful, “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” (NIV)
“At just the right time…”
Not early.
Not delayed.
Not reactive.
Right on time.
Paul says that while we were still powerless that Christ died for us. Powerless means we couldn’t fix it and that’s exactly when love moved toward us.
God didn’t wait for your strength, He moved in your weakness.
He didn’t wait for your obedience, He acted in your helplessness.
He didn’t wait for you to become lovable, He demonstrated His love while you were still a sinner.
That changes everything.
Because if God moved toward you at your worst, you can trust Him in your waiting now. The cross is proof that God’s timing is not random, it is intentional. If you are in a season that feels delayed or feel powerless in something you cannot control, remember this: The God who saved you at just the right time is still working at just the right time.
Let go of your timeline and trust His.
