Rescue Me

No one plans to be trapped. No one wakes up hoping to fall into manipulation, fear, addiction, pressure, or someone else’s control. No one chooses the moment they realize they’re stuck in a situation they didn’t intend, can’t fix, and don’t know how to escape.

And yet — it happens.

Life has a way of tightening around us.
A bad decision.
Someone else’s choices.
Circumstances we never saw coming.

Suddenly the ground feels unstable and we’re caught in something we never would have chosen.

That’s why this prayer from Psalms 25 feels so honest and so necessary. It doesn’t pretend strength. It doesn’t offer self-rescue strategies. It lifts its eyes and says: God, only You can get me out of this.

Psalms 25:15 says, “My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare.” (NIV)

David fixes his eyes on the Lord not because the trap disappears, but because rescue comes from a Person, not a plan.

God is not intimidated by the snare around your feet.
 He is not confused by your situation.
 He is not late in His ability to intervene.

He is the rescuer.

My friend, if you feel caught today — emotionally, relationally, financially, spiritually — lift your eyes. Keep them there. Your freedom is not found in striving harder but in trusting deeper.

The God who sees you is able to release you. He specializes in impossible exits and unexpected deliverance.

He can untangle what you cannot.
He can open what feels sealed shut.
He can lead you out.

Keep your eyes on Him.
Rescue is closer than you think.
