Teach Me

When you find yourself knee-deep in a pit of finger-pointing and condemnation—mud slinging from every direction—the only “truth” that seems to make sense is your own.

But today, I want to invite you to pause.
Pause the urge to defend.
Pause the need to explain.
Pause the inner storm rising to justify yourself.

And in that sacred pause, ask God for His perspective.
Ask Him to lift your eyes above the chaos.
To guide you into His truth—not the one shaped by emotion or circumstances, but the one rooted in His character and drenched in love.
Ask Him for clarity that doesn’t come from being right, but from being loved.

In the middle of betrayal and backlash, King David cried out in Psalms 25:5, “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
 (NIV)

This wasn’t just a personal prayer. It became a national anthem for a people who knew suffering—people who clung to God when everything else fell apart. It was written to help them lift their hearts to Yahweh, their covenant-keeping God.

And it’s been a prayer I have prayed and a prayer you can pray today.

When the world’s noise is louder than God’s whisper,
When your own voice is the only one you can trust,
When you feel isolated in your truth—
Let Him lead you into His.

Let your hope be anchored,
not in being understood by others,
but in being held by the One who knows you best.

God’s perspective isn’t rooted in your pain or in other people’s opinions.

It’s rooted in who He is.
And when you ask Him to teach you,
He will.

He’ll take your hand, steady your heart,
and walk you into the truth that sets you free.

You are His and you are loved in the middle of it all.
