Focused Trust

Gentleness is focused trust in God.

Jesus shows us exactly what this kind of gentleness looks like. He stayed focused on His relationship with the Father and faithfully did what God asked Him to do—without being pulled by opinions, pressure, or comparison. He didn’t try to please people.

He lived to please His Father.

Jesus didn’t try to control people or outcomes.

He simply stayed faithful to what God gave Him to do and trusted the Father with the rest.

Philippians 4:5 says, “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” (NIV)

Gentleness is not weakness.
It is strength under control.
It is choosing to trust God instead of trying to control everything yourself.

At its heart, being gentle is living with a focused trust in God—and leaving the outcomes in His hands.

Jesus teaches us how to live and lead this way.
And when we do, it brings rest to our souls.

My friend, may you learn to walk in the quiet strength of a gentle life—yoked to and led by our gentle Savior, today and every day.

What does gentleness look like in your life right now?
