What you do to bring home a paycheck is not your real work.
It may be your job, but it’s not your deepest calling.
Your real work is people.
Your real work is to love them—whoever them is in your world: co-workers, customers, clients, or guests.
Your real work is to encourage them.
Your real work is to lead well and bring hope wherever God has placed you.
Colossians 3:23–24 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters… It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (NIV)
Notice it doesn’t say only church work is holy.
It says whatever you do.
Your desk can be an altar.
Your workplace can be a mission field.
Your ordinary moments can become eternal ones.
Your real work is not just what you produce.
It’s who you reflect.
Because long after the job is over, the titles are gone, and the tasks are finished…
The love you gave, the hope you carried, and the light you shared matters more than you can imagine.
