Your Chance To Shine

Your chance to shine will probably look different than you expect.

It won’t always come when you feel rested, prepared, or spiritually “on.”
More often, it shows up when you’re grumpy and tired.
When your energy is spent and you feel like you have nothing left to give.

We tend to do well with the planned opportunities to shine.
The moments we can see coming.
The conversations we rehearse in our heads.
The situations we feel ready for.

But the truest, brightest moments of light don’t come with a plan.
They come when it’s inconvenient.
When people are demanding.
When emotions are high and patience is low.
When you’re with people who have already used up the grace you thought you had to offer.

And somehow… those are the moments when Jesus shines through you the most.

Not because you’re polished or impressive—but because you’re available.
Because love shows up anyway.
Because grace speaks louder than exhaustion.

Jesus said it this way in Matthew 5:16:
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (NIV)

So shine, my friend.
Right where you are.
Just as you are.

So shine bright, my friend, this dark world needs you to.
