Joy Has a Name

Joy isn’t something you have to chase down.
It came looking for you.

The Angel announced in Luke 2:10, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” (NIV)

It didn’t arrive wrapped in tinsel and tied with a bow but in swaddling clothes,
held in the arms of love.

Joy has a name.
His name is Jesus.

This is not a feeling that fades when the lights go out but a deep, steady presence that walks with you through every valley, every season, every day.

You don’t have to fake it.
You don’t have to earn it.
You just have to receive it.

Good news.
Great joy.
For you.

I am so thankful that God’s presence is not limited to a location, a time or a place.

And I am so grateful to be a part of your life.

May this Christmas Day bring you an unexpected moment of joy no matter what it happens to look like this year.

Have a Very Merry Christmas.
