Jesus opened wide the door for you to walk with God every day and draw from His unquenchable love to pour into every area of your life.
In Ephesians 1:18,The Apostle Paul opens his letter with this prayer, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” (NIV)
My friend, your inheritance in Christ is full access to God.
It is an eternal relationship starting now.
It is the hope of knowing that are not alone in this world and not left alone to deal with it.
He is with you.
Your inheritance is the indwelling of His Spirit bringing His love, presence and power.
It is the assurance that He accepts you, approves of you and is providing for you in the midst of great trials.
It is His power strengthening you when you face hardship to not fall back on bad habits but to fall forward into His mighty love for you.
To walk in faith and hope in the midst of discouragement and fear.
That doesn’t mean you don’t feel discouraged or experience fear, it means you don’t make your decisions on them.
Feel your feelings, be truthful and real before God and then walk with Him through the tough time.
This is your inheritance in Christ in you and in all those who have surrendered to His Lordship.
Surround yourself with believers, pray with them, be real with them and walk together in faith.
You don’t have to wait for this inheritance.
It is yours today.
My prayer is that the eyes of your heart be opened wide to see the truth of the rich inheritance and that you will live in it every single day.
