Everyday you are loved.
You have been chosen by the Divine to be clothed with it.
Colossians 3:12-15 declares that, “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” (ESV)
You are created in Jesus to live different and look different than the world around you.
You have full access to His “closet” to choose what you need.
You have permission to wear God’s love like a warm coat of security in a cold winter season of loneliness.
To be covered by God’s mercy to protect your heart from the blistering heat of disappointment and resentment.
To slip on God’s sturdy gentleness like a good pair of boots to slog through the storms of conflict.
To be wrapped in God’s compassion when the cold wind of scarcity blows through.
To put on God’s perspective in order to see those around you with clarity and truth.
If God is not offended by your brokenness and humanness, how can you continue to be offended by the brokenness and humanness of others?
My friend, you have permission from the Prince of heaven to be fully clothed in His love in every relationship and in every situation that you face today.
Get dressed in His love and extend His mercy to all those who so desperately need it today.
How will you wear His love today?
