Hold My Hand

I remember the days when my sons were small and everywhere we went, I asked them to hold my hands. If I was alone, I would have two hands to hold. If my husband was with us, we each got a hand to hold. This was to protect them, guide them and make sure they were going to get where we were going together without getting distracted or lost. Especially when we were in a busy crowded place.

2 Thessalonians 3:5 records this prayer, “May the Master take you by the hand and lead you along the path of God’s love and Christ’s endurance.” (MSG)

Friend, God wants to protect you, guide you and help you get to where you are going with Him.

The Master Himself, Jesus Christ is offering His nailed scarred hand for you to hold today.

Take it.

Let Him lead you as you face work, family and friends.

He will show you how to navigate each interaction with God’s love and kindness.

And if you are facing the darkness, it is His perseverance that will keep you going.

It was God’s love and perseverance in Christ that empowered Him to endure the cross and defeat death.

This is an unbeatable perseverance.

It doesn’t mean you will be saved from suffering.

It means you won’t let go of Jesus’ Hand in the middle of it and He will not let go of you.

It means you will keep going through the darkness until you see the light.

You have nothing to fear.

Jesus defeated sin and the grave.

Refuse to be distracted by the fear of the unknown and hold tight to Him.

You are God’s child, He loves you right now and He will walk with you through whatever you are facing today.
