Don’t Give Up

1 Corinthians 13:7 describes God’s love when it says, “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (ESV)

This is God’s love, this is how God loves you.

You are made for this love.

You read the words and long for the truth of them to be real in your life.

You long for more.

But you stopped believing for the best.

You’ve tried and failed miserably because you are human.

You gave up.

You got tired.

But God does not give up or get tired.

He does not let go.

God’s love is a safe place of shelter for all who need it.

And you need it.

You need Him.

Friend, If you have given up believing the best for yourself, your loved-ones or your circumstances, cling to the truth of this passage.

This isn’t about you trying harder to love better, it is about you burrowing into God’s strong love for you and trusting Him to help you.

Let go of the outcome.

You have taken your failure as a defeat.

Give your failure to God.

He will take it and in His love form it into courageous hope.

May the love of God hold you when you are tired, give you hope when you feel lost and enough light for the next step you need to take today.
