Jesus has a track record of asking His followers to do impossible things.
Jesus asked Peter to step out of the boat and walk on water.
He asked Phillip to put down the calculator and pick up an empty basket to feed the multitudes.
He asked John to leave his business behind and Matthew to step away from the tax collector table as well as the stigma that came with it.
Whether you have been walking with Jesus for five minutes or fifty years, you will discover that following Jesus means stepping out in faith.
Not just once but over and over again.
The opposite of faith is not doubt, it is sight.
Hebrews 11: 1 states that, “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” (NLT)
How much faith do you need to have to do what Jesus is asking you to do today?
You need just enough.
Just enough to take one step.
Just enough to make one call.
Just enough to say no.
That is enough.
Just enough faith in Jesus, who He is and what He did for you is enough to see miracles happen, one step at a time.
That’s it.
Sometimes walking in faith is taking big steps.
Most of the time, it is having just enough faith to take the next one.
