When we lived in Las Vegas, the lights on the Strip outshone the stars in the sky. When you were in the city, you could count the stars you could see on your hands but every summer we would take our boys camping in the mountains of Northern California. At night, sitting around a camp fire, we would lift our eyes to gaze upon the millions of stars filling every inch of of the sky. There were more stars than we could count and we were filled with awe at the glory of night sky.
Psalms 147:4 tells us that, “He sets his stars in place, calling them all by their names.” (TPT)
Friend, God knows exactly how many stars are there, the ones you can see and the ones you can’t.
He knows each one by name, even the ones so far out that our most advanced technology has not discovered them yet.
If God holds the number and name of each star in the universe, He is able to hold you.
He knows your name.
He knows you.
He loves you.
He is able to take care of the things you see and the things you can’t see.
God is able.
Rest in the wonder of His love.
When you need to be reminded of God’s awe and inspiring creative power, go outside and look to the stars.
