My friend, you have a choice today.
You can speak life into a situation or speak death into it.
You can wield your words like a sword and end up hurting the ones you love or you can choose to use your words wisely and bring healing.
You choose.
Proverbs 12:18 says, “Rash language cuts and maims, but there is healing in the words of the wise.” (MSG)
Words are powerful.
I want to encourage you to choose them wisely.
When you are tempted to return anger with anger or an accusation with an accusation, pause.
Take a moment.
You are responsible for the words coming out of your mouth.
Words spoken rashly do the most harm.
Before you verbally slap back, ask yourself if your words are going to help the situation or hurt it?
Proverbs 23:9 says, “Don’t waste your breath on fools, for they will despise the wisest advice.”
When in doubt, don’t say anything at all.
