My friend, you will have lots of opportunities to worry about the future, to second guess God’s goodness and to be anxious about what is happening this week.
You will also have lots of opportunities to bless God, breathe in His presence and receive His joy.
I love the words of the ancient song in Psalms 34:1-4 that says, “GOD met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears.” (MSG)
The opportunities to worry will come and what you do with them is what makes the difference in your life.
Take a deep breath, expand your lungs and settle yourself into the loving presence of God.
He will meet you more than halfway and will use every opportunity that comes your way to free you from your fears.
In Psalm 27:1,King David wrote this right before he was anointed the King of Israel, “The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?” (NIV)
Every time that fear or worry rises up, look to Jesus and ask Him for His perspective on all of it.
Look to His undying love to give you the courage to face your fears with faith and trust.
Run to the stronghold of your relationship with the Anointed One and rest in the security of Jesus’ unending presence in your life.
Take every chance you get to stress and turn it into a moment to trust.
Take every opportunity to worry and turn it into an opportunity to worship.
