God’s love isn’t harsh or condemning.
He doesn’t keep score or wait for someone to fail.
Instead, His love is a place of refuge, a safe harbor where you can rest, heal, and feel valued.
Corinthians 13:7a says that, “Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others.” (TPT)
God sees you at your worst yet still calls out the best in you. He never gives up on you and never assumes you are beyond hope. His love is like a shelter in the storm, providing a space where you are seen not for your flaws, but for the potential He’s placed within you.
He calls you to this and to love others with this.
Imagine how different our relationships would look if we embodied His love. How many conflicts would be diffused if we approached others with patience and hope instead of suspicion or frustration? How much healing could happen in someone’s heart if they knew we saw the best in them, even when they struggled to see it themselves?
God’s love believes the best, even when someone’s behavior makes it challenging.
God’s love speaks words of encouragement rather than criticism, that builds up rather than tears down.
God’s love is not blind to shortcomings, but chooses to see people through a lens of grace.
When we love like this, we offer others a glimpse of God’s heart.
His is a love that always protects, always hopes, and never stops believing.
That’s the kind of love that changes lives – yours first and then others.
