Break Up With Stress

What has you stressed today?

In the Parable of the Sower Jesus said that God’s Word is like a seed meant to find purpose, take root and grow strong. In Mark 4:18-19 He said, “The seed cast in the weeds represents the ones who hear the kingdom news but are overwhelmed with worries about all the things they have to do and all the things they want to get. The stress strangles what they heard, and nothing comes of it.” (MSG)

Jesus put all stress in two categories:
1. Worries about all the things you have to do.
2. Worry about all the things you need to get.

When we stress about all the things we have to do or need to have, we are giving stress full reign to wreak havoc in our life. Stress is always about fear and control. The Word of God is about trust and surrender.

My friend, don’t let stress undermine the revelation of God’s Word in your life.
Don’t let your to-do list dictate your time with God, let your time with God dictate your to-do list.

Jesus said in Matthew 6:33-34, “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (NIV)

Seek God’s ways, His will and receive His love.

Begin with trust.

Break up with stress.
