My friend, you have been made to love and be loved.
When we look to humans to give us what we need, we find they are just like us – flawed and doing the best they can.
Their love is not meant to fill you or fulfill you, it may even fail you.
You are made to be loved by God, every minute of every day.
His unending, unchanging, un-quitting, transforming love.
The love you need today is God’s love.
You are made to need it.
1 John 4:16-17 says, “God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.” (NLT)
How did Jesus live in this world?
He lived loved and secure in His relationship with God.
Then He made the way for us to live this way too.
