Sufficient for Today

The Apostle Paul revealed the secret of his stalwart perseverance in the second letter he wrote to the new church in Corinth.

After pleading 3 times for God to remove “the thorn from his flesh” he received this answer from the Lord: “My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (TPT)

Then Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. So I’m not defeated by my weakness, but delighted! For when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment—when I’m surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my love for Christ—I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.” (TPT)

Oh, the richness of God’s amazing grace.

Grace to get up each day knowing that God will give you what you need for the day, no matter what comes up.

Grace that takes what little you could do and use it to help someone’s life.

Grace to lay down every night and rest because you know God’s grace will be there tomorrow.

You don’t have to live in the illusion that you have to be strong on your own but in Christ, admitting your weakness opens you up to receiving God’s grace laden strength so that moment by moment you will have what you need to make it through.

His grace is sufficient for whatever you face today.
