New In You

As you begin a new year, I want to remind you that you are a new creation in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 states, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (NIV)

You are a different person than you were last year.

You are filled with the Spirit of God, empowered to live fully and completely in the amazing grace and love of God.

You have grown in Him through the giants you faced and the trials you survived.

Jesus is not done with you and will continue to do His work in you this year.

He will continue with you on the journey of becoming the new you.

You can confidently let go of “what-ifs” and embrace the possibilities of “what is.”

That doesn’t mean you’re perfect or you have to be.

It means you are real, vulnerable, wise and present in the reality of your life.

You are made new in Christ.

May you begin the New Year filled with the hope of the new things that will be worked into you by the power of the Holy Spirit. May you live fully in this truth today and discover the wonder of all He wants to do in you tomorrow.
