When you see Jesus, you see God.
You see God’s heart, His compassion, His strength, His joy, His love for us.
You see God in the incredible vulnerability of the baby, the sweet innocence of the child, the boldness of the man.
You see God’s love poured out on the streets as He walked through the crowds, the teaching of God’s kingdom come, the unjust trial and judgement, His refusal to defend Himself and His surrender to death.
When you see Jesus, you see the full splendor of God’s love for you.
The Apostle John writes in John 1:18, “No one ever before gazed upon the full splendor of God except his uniquely beloved Son, who is cherished by the Father and held close to his heart. Now that he has come to us, he has unfolded the full explanation of who God truly is!” (TPT)
No matter how you celebrate Christmas this year, my prayer for you is that you will see God in a new way, have a moment of awareness of how priceless you are to Him and how incredible the incarnation actually is.
