Dare To Trust

Joseph and Mary were nobodies from a town no one wanted to admit they came from but God chose them anyway.

Luke 2:4- 5 records that, “Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.” (NIV)

Now most everyone knows the names of this young couple as the Christmas story is told every year all over the world.

God has His own reasons for choosing, equipping and using people in His plans.

My friend, God has chosen you.

He has equipped you.

He is using you to love others and share the great news of Jesus with them in the unique way He has made you.

Say yes to God and be obedient to the work He has put before you.

I love the quote by an unknown author that says, “God has the tendency of picking up a nobody, to be a somebody, in front of everybody, without consulting anybody.”

Dare to trust Him and do what He has asked of you, no matter what it is.

And may your answer to God be the same as the unknown young Mary’s was as recorded in Luke 1:38, “’I am the Lord’s servant,’ Mary answered. ‘May your word to me be fulfilled.’” (NIV)
