As you count down the days to Christmas, take a minute to focus on what is important and in the craziness of it all continue to refocus your heart on Jesus.
It is His sacrificial love you are celebrating.
It is His birth that brings new birth to all who will receive Him.
It is this miraculous gift of the Son, this unquenchable love of the Father, this daily guide of the Spirit that bursts forth the celebration in our hearts.
I don’t know about you but the stress and busyness of the season can easily overtakes the reason for the season.
Today, I want to encourage you to start by letting go of the way “things are supposed to be.”
Philippians 4:11 says, “for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”
(NIV)
Instead of replaying past moments or trying to create perfect scenarios in your head, let it be what it will be. Enjoy the imperfections of this day and those to come.
Know that everything “being perfect” will not create the feeling of fulfillment you are looking for. You are looking for love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness…. and these are fruits of the Spirit not necessarily fruits of the season.
My prayer for you is that you will be filled with the power of God’s perspective and the peace that passes understanding as you walk among the complicated chaos of the humans around you.

This is a precious reminder of what we need to focus on during this season as well as daily!
I love the phrase walking among the complicated chaos of humans.
That sums up this world
