Today, I want to remind you to let go of:
– trying to earn God’s love (you already have it).
– your fear of failure (you have nothing to prove to anyone).
– perfectionism (you don’t have to fear what others think of you).
– habits that sabotage your growth (you don’t need them anymore).
– trying to control everything (you can’t and it’s exhausting).
Paul, the Apostle wrote to the churches in Phillipi an exhortation to stop looking to themselves and their own strength to make them right with God because through Jesus, God made us right with Him when he wrote in Philippians 3:12, “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” (NIV)
Paul tells them to fiercely take hold of:
– God’s amazing grace for every aspect of life.
– absolute dependence on Jesus in everything.
– the incredible vision God has for life.
– the unbelievable power of Love’s transformation.
– to trust Jesus with it all.
Jesus paid the ultimate price to love you into wholeness and He loves you so much that He will continually press you to press on to become all He has created you to be.
Trust Him.
