Do you feel like worry is driving your day?
Do you feel confused and conflicted with all that is pressing on you?
My challenge to you today comes from Philippians 4:6, “Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude.” (TPT)
Worry is a terrible taskmaster. Worry is constantly collecting bushels of “fear of the unknown,” terrible “what if’s,” lots of “I don’t see how this can change” and layering them all in our hearts and minds.
The Apostle Paul ends his letter to the new believers in Philippi with a strong charge to not let worry rule their lives.
He implores them to “saturate” their days in prayer and gratitude.
When you spend time with God in prayer, you create space for God to move, for God to speak, for God to calm your mind.
When you sit in silence and solitude in the presence of the Great Father, you are basking in the light of His glory and love for you.
It is vital for you to steal time away from worry and spend that time with God.
Especially when you are feeling pulled in different directions.
Make time, steal time, do whatever you need to do, to center your soul in Christ and make room for gratitude to flourish today.
