When life is disrupted by the unexpected it doesn’t just drain your energy, it drains your hope.
Maybe you are wondering today how you are going to make it through.
I want to remind you today that you have a Savior with the heart of a valiant Shepherd.
He comes close when you need Him, guides and provides, shelters and protects, waits and watches over you.
You are not alone.
Dangers may loom but you have nothing to fear because Jesus Himself is with you.
Psalm 23:1-3 says, “GOD, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from. True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction.” (MSG)
Jesus will guide you through the madness of life and lead you daily to a quiet place within His Presence so you can catch your breath, recover hope and step out in the right direction.
How will you rest within His care today?

2 weeks ago I found out I had a blockage in one of my arteries and in two weeks I will get a catheterization and probably a stent. Leading up to this finding, I literally was having trouble catching my breath. When I found out this news, I lost hope, I grew fearful. Very fearful. But God has shown his light on me in so many ways since then. He has pointed me in a new direction and it includes peace and love, lots of love from so many people I consider blessings from God.
Loretta,

Thank you, Joni. ❤️
On 8/10, my dearest/closest friend was attacked by wasps, he’s highly allergic and went into anaphylactic shock. The doctors say his injuries were too severe, so the family felt lead to removed life support on 9/2. He’s still breathing on his own. So we pray for a miracle. Until God takes him home, we hope God will restore him. The in between is so difficult, but Jesus, but GOD, He has comforted! He has soaked us in His peace. He, Who is the only One Who knows the end of this story has shown me how loving, gracious, merciful and GOOD my God is! I am very humbled and grateful ♥️
Dear Cindy,
On Monday morning I sent The “Valient Shepherd” to a dear friend because it spoke to my heart in such a deep way. Tuesday morning my husband had a stroke and when I looked back at that devotional, it had my name written all over it. This week has been very hard and every day your words and God’s Word, have been speaking directly to my heart.
Psalm 121:7-8
The LORD will keep you from all harm- He will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
No matter how great my problems may seem, my God is Greater ❤
