There was a time a few years ago when I was discouraged and heartbroken. I didn’t know how we were going to make it through the hard time we were facing. We were living in Las Vegas, Nevada and our neighborhood edged the Red Rock desert. Early one morning I went for a walk. With worship music loaded on my iPod, I set out to pray and breathe in the presence of God. As I turned the corner out of my neighborhood and onto the desert road behind it, the song “Great is Thy Faithfulness” began. The sun was just rising over Red Rock Canyon and it was so beautiful that I almost dropped to my knees. I soaked in the words of the song and heard God’s whisper in my heart, “Hold on. Your hopes are not lost. I am faithful to complete what I have started in you. I will sustain you through this and strengthen you in it. My faithfulness knows no end.”
That moment was a turning point for me and I carried that promise through a time that got harder long before it got better.
Psalm 119:116 says, “Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed.” (NIV)
Hold on, my friend, your hopes are not lost.
Jesus is faithful to complete what He started in you.
He is in the long game.
He will sustain you and strengthen you in it.
Hold on to God.
His faithfulness knows no end.

Another great encouraging word from God. Thank you for being faithful in your calling and helping children of God like me who are holding on. Jesus is faithful and will complete what He started. My new vision began after my son age 22 when to heaven in 2014….some time in 2015. God has been faither through 2015 home renovations to list home. Clear that we were not to sell. This is where he wanted us. Hurricane Irma in 2017, fire in 2019, roof damage Hurricane Elsa, and now total rebuild, demo of home that he blessed me with back in 2002. through it all His promises have been true, favor, grace, mercy. We are renting since December 2022 after Hurricane Ian. He has been our provider and so much favor. Our faith is in him to completely turn all things for our good. Keep up the good word.
