The Peace of Jesus

Shalom is a powerful Hebrew word that means peace.

In Colossians 3:15, the Apostle Paul writes, “Let the shalom of Messiah rule in your hearts—to this shalom you were surely called in one body.  Also be thankful.” (Tree of Life Translation)

The peace of Messiah is an unconquerable, stubborn peace.

It is peace rooted in identity security, not circumstantial stability.

It is the peace of being embraced by the presence of God in the midst of struggle.

It is the peace of being put back together in love after being shattered by rejection.

It is the peace forged in sacrifice, love laying down it’s life for others.

It is the peace of choosing the harder path because that is where your Father is leading you.

It is the peace that faced the worst of mankind’s darkness and overcame it.

It is the peace of the One who conquered the unconquerable and rose blazing in light and life.

Shalom is the peace that comes from the heart of God, made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus and fills us to overflowing by the Spirit who is Love living in us.

Let the shalom of Messiah rule in your hearts today.
