The pressure in your life is no joke.
It is intense right now.
Don’t give up.
Roman’s 12:12 says, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” (NIV)
The word “affliction” here essentially means “pressure” and the Apostle Paul was encouraging the early Christian church to be patient when the pressure of life gets heavy.
In this verse, he is saying that when life gets difficult:
- Spend your energy pursuing hope.
- Don’t quit when things get hard.
- Spend more time in the presence of God than the presence of fear.
Yes, the pressure in your life is a lot right now but you are not alone to bear it. God is with you. Jesus walks beside you. Hold on to hope, lean on Him and take it one day at a time.
