A Small Touch

Love never gives up.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4 MSG‬‬

So much is communicated through touch.

A small touch can make a bad thing okay, an okay thing good, and make a good thing great.

Sometimes all we need is a reassuring pat of the hand or a hug.

Maybe it is the gentle tug on the elbow of someone who you want closer or reaching out to hold their hand.

Small touches are difference makers in relationships.

They are the first thing we unconsciously give and the first thing that we unconsciously withhold.

When we struggle, when we are angry, when we are hurt, we withhold those small touches.

It’s easy to forget how important they are until we can’t give them anymore.

Love never gives up.

If you need to reconnect to someone today, a small touch may be a great way to start.

  1. So well said! Through Daniel and my reconciliation we learned what our love languages are and my is personal touch and quality time (top two). Learning the touch one is a game changer for us. I even realized why. As a foster child of some not so nice people I never had touch and now if it’s withheld from me I go back to that little girl needing it so badly. Thanks for this. 💕✝️
