“So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline.”
Colossians 3:12 (MSG)
Life requires strength.
The Apostle Paul calls it quiet strength and he says it comes from God.
This strength isn’t the loud bold strength for everyone to see, it is the inner not-going-to-give-up-no-matter-how-hard-life-is strength that no one sees.
A strength that gets up when it is tired.
Does the right thing when it doesn’t feel like it.
Holds on when it wants to let go.
Pushes through when it would be easier to quit.
It isn’t pretty or soft.
It is quietly determined and infused with a healthy stubbornness.
Your life requires strength.
This kind of strength.
You can’t do it without Jesus and He doesn’t ask you to.
Don’t give up.
Lean on Him and take it one day at a time with God.
