Prayer does not change you, God changes you.
Prayer connects you to God.
He renews your mind.
He heals your heart.
He transforms your life.
Jesus said the when you pray, it should have this flavor:
“your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:10 NIV
Too often our prayers are filled with the flavor of “My kingdom come, my will be done” but when I lay down my lists, my limited experience of possibilities and my imagined desired future, I am able to embrace God’s heart, His unlimited experience of possibilities and His desired future for my life.
Flavor your prayer with the perspective of “Your kingdom come, Your will be done.”
God’s will in your relationships.
God’s way in your heart.
God’s perspective for your future.
God’s redemptive power for your past.
When you spend all your prayer time telling God what your will is and how you want things, He hears you. He listens but you are missing the power of prayer.
The real power of prayer is when you plug into God and allow Him to transform your life through His power.
Prayer doesn’t change you- God changes you through prayer.
Have you prayed like this today?
