You know when you are talking to someone and you repeat something a couple of times because you want to make sure they hear you? You want to make sure that they GET what you are saying to them, so you keep saying it. There are places in the Word that God repeats Himself so that you will GET what He is saying to you.
One of those is in Hebrews 13:5:
“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (NIV)
You can’t see it in the English Translation but in the original text (Greek) it is more like this:
“for He, God, Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down relax My hold on you! Assuredly not!” (AMP)
It is worth repeating because it is a truth worth believing. Worth living and one we too easily forget.
When you are facing financial stress and can’t see how you are going to make it, go back to this promise.
Your peace does not lie in your finances but in your Savior.
Money will come and go, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Repeat it until you believe it.
