Don’t Let the Past Blind You From Seeing the Future

The best way to miss the new thing that God wants to do in your life is to be obessed with what happened in the past.

A past relationship.
A past failure.
A past mistake.

A moment that changed the direction of your life. You can’t go back and change it but you can spend all your time thinking about what might have happened if you could have.

It doesn’t even have to be something bad that happened- obsessing over the “good ole days” is just as distracting. When you spend all your energy thinking about how good it used to be, you will never see how good it could be now.

“Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:16-21‬ ‭MSG‬‬

God wants to do a new thing in your life. One that is transforming and redeeming. One that you can only experience if you are determined to be present. Determined to be alert to hope.

In Christ, you have a brand new life. It won’t look like anything you have experienced before.

Don’t let the past blind you from seeing the future God wants you to begin living now.

Let go of the past and give yourself permission to be excited about God is doing now.

Let the adventures begin!

Thank you Cindy! God’s timing is awesome and I appreciate that you allow Him to speak through you. I spent a restless night last night going over a past friendship that ended badly after seeing her on FB. This reminds me that as long as I am looking back I cannot see what God is planning in front of me. Blessings and love to you!

I love to hear from you and appreciate every comment!
