Do the Work

David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work.

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you.
(1 Chronicles 28:20 NIV)

Solomon had been given something to do and his father’s words to him are “be strong and courageous and do the work.”

They are the same words God is giving you today.

He has placed within your grasp a task, a direction and a responsibility. It is not an easy task and there will be many times you will be tempted to quit.

Don’t quit.

Do the work.

Courageously, not half heatedly.

Be obedient to what God has given you to do.

When it gets hard (and it will), do not let discouragement suck the hope out of you. You are not alone in this, God is WITH you.

Lean on God for every step. At the end of it all, you can stand back and be amazed at what God built through you.
