“so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’” (Matthew 25:25 NET)
FB Meyer expressed the thinking of this servant in the parable of the talents as this:
“So the servant buried it. Kept it safe for his master. He did not risk failure or work for success. He just buried it and believed the fear.”
When the time came to give account for it, his master wasn’t happy and was not impressed.
He had given his servant something with the expectation that he would do
something with it. That he would grow it. Work it. Risk it.
Don’t listen to the voice of fear.
You are chosen.
You have been equipped.
God expects you to do something good with what he has given you.
Don’t bury it.
Invest it, grow it, work it, give it, risk it.
