Peace in the Midst of Chaos

I am surrounded by boxes, feeling overwhelmed and struggling to find a way through the chaos that has become the stock room during the holiday season. It is the season of working hard and yet feeling like I am barely keeping my head above water.

How do I hold onto peace during a time like this?

I remember a song I listened to on the way into work, “Unstoppable God” on the Elevation Worship Album.

“Unstoppable God, may your glory go on and on.
Impossible things in your name shall be done”.

I begin to hum the lyrics and feel the hope blossom.

What I see around me is not permanent.

The boxes are temporal.

They will get unpacked.

The season will continue and be over.

God is eternal.

And loves to join with His children to do impossible things.

How you do hold on to peace in the midst of chaos?

You remember that the chaos is temporary but your God isn’t.

May your day be anchored in God’s peace and give you strength to make push through the chaos (and give you a really great worship song to hum while doing it).
